In 2017 the California Board of Forestry proposed a review of Public Resources Code 4561 (PRC 4561). PRC 4561 dictates minimum stocking standards for forested lands in the state. Shortly following the proprosal to review this standard, Berkeley Forests helped to put together a working group of experts throughout the state from government agencies, academia, and private industry to put together an informational report to the Board of Forestry regarding this issue. The work is still ongoing.
